Greater Copenhagen Svedala

Svedala is a municipality in Skåne County in southern Sweden. The municipality has an area of approximately 227.1 square kilometers and a population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants. Svedala has a rich history and has existed as a settlement since the Viking Age. In the Middle Ages, Svedala was an important trading town and was located on an important trade route that stretched from Copenhagen to Germany. Today, Svedala is a modern municipality with a wide range of activities and attractions for both tourists and locals. There are beautiful natural areas here, such as the popular nature area Rövarekulan, where you can hike and enjoy the beautiful Scanian nature. Svedala is also known for its proximity to Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, which is about 20 minutes away by train. Malmö offers a wide range of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The municipality also has a rich cultural life with several art exhibitions and cultural events organized all year round. In the municipality there are several well-preserved buildings from different eras, such as Svedala church and Stenbrohult castle.
